Job Description

Our client is a family run bakery based in Beckenham, Kent who originally supplied bread, cakes and artisan breads in South London and they have now branched out delivering to all the London area as well as many of the Home Counties. Their large customer base varies from large wholesalers to contract caterers.
They are looking for a Traine Baker to join their team.
Reporting to: Bakery Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To make products to required quantity and standards to meet customer expectations.

YOU WILL HAVE:
A keen interest in working in a bakery environment and learning a new trade
A down to earth, friendly disposition with a can-do attitude
Be Reliable and responsible always for yourself and other team members
Happy to work as part of a team and multitask when required
The ability to take instruction and learn with on the job training
You must be an early riser to due to the nature of the work

RESPONSIBILITIES:
To follow the bakery manager's instructions at all times
To follow all food hygiene standards
Maintain quality standards
Minimise flour dust (face masks are provided for health and safety reasons; we stress that you use these to prevent any health issues that may occur due to inhaling flour dust)
Maintain health and safety of him/her and others

Full time hours' available salary negotiable for the right person.
The role is a long term temporary contract 18 months or more, possibly leading to perm.
