Job Description

The Genesis Academy is recruiting for a part-time Education Manager (25 hours per week) who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a busy and growing Alternative Education and Training Provider.

Role Requirements:
In this role, the candidate will be required to adopt a flexible working approach to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks pertinent to the effective daily processes of an established
- being first point of contact for students and staff (tutors, TAs, mentors, Business Administrators) on a daily basis- responsible for delegating and managing timetables, including staff individual timetables and student timetables
- conducting quality assurance across multiple areas of the organisation (health and safety, education, safeguarding, insurances, etc)
- liaising with external organisations, governing bodies and partners for the QAA of regulated programmes (i.e. Pearson, Ofsted)
- overseeing the end-to-end process of learner education (registration, assessments, internal verification, external verification, auditing, progression and outcomes)
- monitoring and managing learner attendance, punctuality and progression
- liaising with schools regarding learner updates, as well as up-selling additional opportunities i.e. additional student places
- identifying funds, tenders and contracts pertinent to pre and post-
16 education and training- delegating to business administrators on roles and responsibilities
- collating learner reports, purchase ledgering, invoicing, online/BACS payments, data-basing, data inputting, staff timesheets etc.

Skills and Experience:
- Qualified to Degree level (essential) within teaching/education (desirable)
- Worked in a senior leadership role or management role within a mainstream or alternative education establishment (essential)- Degree qualified (essential)- Experience of managing quality assurance processes (essential)- Experience of coordinating/managing/overseeing qualification regulation and related processes (essential)- Knowledge and experience of the daily operations of a school/college/training environment (essential)- Experience of managing and delegating to staff (desirable)
