Permanent contract Location: Surrey Salary: up to £52,000 + 15% bonus, company car/car allowance, benefits package (private medical or dental cover, pension, 25 days annual leave, etc.) Training and Development Specialist - an exciting new opportunity has arisen with a global leading pharmaceutical company due to internal promotion. Working in a small and very supportive and friendly team, you will plan, deliver and measure training and development interventions to equip the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Field Force in UK & Ireland with the relevant skills and knowledge to perform their day to day activities effectively. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver training activities for Diabetes/ Cardiovascular therapy areas and contribute to the delivery of a national training & development plan in core skill areas. Develop, deliver and validate the results of relevant product training programmes; create compliant materials for all training and development interventions and record attendees and materials used at training interventions in a compliant manner. I have an opportunity for a QC Microbiologist with a thriving pharmaceuticals company in Surrey, the client are seeking a microbiologist with at least 1 years experience in a pharmaceuticals company, excellent communication skills that can fit into a friendly team oriented environment. The role is maternity cover with an initial duration of 12 months The role provides Microbiology and Environmental Monitoring support for all pharmaceutical and drug device products manufactured at the site. Following company Quality Standards or Pharmacopoeia methods testing will cover water, compressed gas, in-process samples and finished products. Responsibilities will include sampling of water systems and environmental monitoring and execution of testing. The job holder will be required to document work in a compliant manner, assist in OOS/Quality Event investigations, and participate in continuous improvement programs. Daily entry into cleanroom environments is expected. Principal Responsibilities 1. To ensure that departmental objectives are executed in line with the overall Quality/Corporate goals. 2. To comply with all safety and GMP requirements within the Laboratory. 3. To execute analytical testing for microbiology requirements to support any QC, R&D or Manufacturing activity. 4. To train others in analytical and laboratory procedures where required. 5. To ensure preparation and timely submission of test samples to external test houses. 6. Where required working to Standard Operating Procedures/WIs, complete the environmental sampling of cleanroom environments. 7. Ensure documentation of all testing activities to current regulatory standards. 8. To revise laboratory protocols, reports, procedures and WIs. 9. To write quarterly environmental reports. 10. To liaise with all external contract testing laboratories. 11. Participate in investigations for Quality Events and Complaints. 12. Input of data to support Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and trending. 13. To participate in improvement programs within the Laboratory. 14. Participate in multi-functional teams to support project assignments. 15. Ensure that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with company values. 16. Complete additional tasks considered necessary to meet business and customer requirements as indicated by the Line Manager. Principal Relationships 1. Educated to BSC (minimum) in microbiology, applied biology or a related discipline. 2. Possess relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology Industry. 3. Have minimum 1 years’ experience in a microbiology Laboratory in a regulatory environment. 4. Good knowledge of GLP/GMP. 5. Working and technical knowledge of microbiology techniques such as bioburden, environmental monitoring and colorimetric bacterial endotoxin. 6. An understanding and application of COSHH regulations in industry Skills and Attributes required 1. To demonstrate computer skills - Microsoft Office preferred. 2. Good written and verbal skills, to enable communication of technical information in a concise manner. 3. To complete assignments in a timely manner and communicate progress at intervals. 4.
