Research Study Administrative Assistant Part Time Fixed Term
Research Study Administrative Assistant (Part Time, Fixed Term) The University of Cambridge is seeking a Research Study Administrative Assistant to join the IMAGINE ID Study Team, which is a current research project within The Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR). CIMR forms part of the University of Cambridge Clinical School and is based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The Institute provides modern laboratory accommodation and state of the art research facilities http://www.cimr.cam.ac.uk . This post is for an administrative assistant to work as part of a Research Study team, aiding the Research Study Coordinators in the recruitment of participants to the study, data entry, and general administration. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills. You must have the ability to communicate professionally face-to-face and via email and telephone with all contacts and establish a positive rapport with patients, families and fellow team members. A compassionate understanding is essential; accurate record-keeping is a must. We expect a willingness to contribute to the team through routine administrative assistance, excellent IT skills and the ability to work as part of a project team whilst adapting to different working environments with tact and assurance. Experience in a clinical setting and with parents of children with intellectual disability is desirable. This post is 60% full-time equivalent (i.e. 21.9 hours per week). The pattern of work can be negotiable and flexible in relation to the needs of the project. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 April 2019 in the first instance. Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a Research Passport. The full incremental salary range for the position is advertised in order to demonstrate the progression of the Grade. Technical Training Manager
Are you an experienced aerospace Technical Training Manager? We currently have a permanent Technical Training Manager position based in Cambridge, working for the exciting and rapidly growing AeroAcademy. About us: AeroAcademy is looking for a Technical Training Manager to help support the training facility in Cambridge with its extensive growth strategy. AeroAcademy is a Part147 approved training organisation within the Civil Business Unit of Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group. We have training, design and delivery capabilities that include specific aircraft type, familiarisation and regulatory courses delivered by approved training instructors. We also have a team of specialists that design and deliver approved Health and Safety training, approved NVQ delivery across a range of subjects, Education across aerospace engineering subjects from BTEC National Diplomas to BSc and approved apprenticeships. About the role: As a Technical Training Manager you will support the activities around the function of aircraft and regulatory training design and delivery. This key management role requires an experienced person to support the team of technical instructors and to act as deputy to the Part147 Form 4 holder. You will be the main point of contact for both internal and external customers relating to technical training. Strong communication skills are essential, along with personnel and asset management skills. Reporting to AeroAcademy's Manager, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast moving environment whilst positively contributing to the successful continuing growth of its commercial development. The role would suit a team player that is able to manage an existing team, operate effectively in a dynamic environment and is motivated by the opportunity to innovate, be creative but still function within the guidelines of a highly regulated industry. You will lead the technical training business stream and form part of a management team. You will integrate, co-ordinate and co-operate with other managers to support cross team working, whilst ensuring that the strategies and objectives of the business and the customers are met. The decline in industry skills along with growth in aircraft manufacturing represents a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop AeroAcademy's training delivery to both new and existing customers. The successful applicant will have: Extensive experience of managing a team delivering technical training, aircraft type training, regulatory training or education to Level 3 minimum. Experience or knowledge of managing and working in an aerospace regulated environment Experience of programme and timetable planning, and effective use of resources including facilities and staff Ability to formulate and manage bespoke programmes, utilising and co-ordinating with internal resources to create courses delivered in UK and overseas. Ability to advise and provide commercial context to both internal and external customers.
